Euphemism

A mild, indirect expression substituted for an offensive or unpleasant one.

That’s a word I came across while I was preparing for my GRE. And since then I’ve fallen in love with the word. The example given under it was even more attractive.

Most of the times we are rather blunt and thoughtless when it comes to expressing what we think or feel. When in anger, we don’t have a control of our emotions and we end up shooting the worst of words at the one on the receiving end.

Words- they can mend relationships and they can even break them. So why can’t we be a little careful with words? Using the right ones at the right time.

Think for a moment if what you are about to say can be hurting to others. Coz words once spoken cannot be taken back.

There is always a better way to let someone know what you feel.

someone is really wise :)
i wish we could control our tempers and dont hurt people with words because words can hurt more than anything else. Unfortunately they just get out even before we are able to think :(

PS: am i really first this time? :P

what's spoken cannot be taken back. it like the weapon that went out of your hand. Both has the ability to do harm.

Awesome!!

It is true. Words once uttered cannot be taken back. And sometimes, apologies do not matter either. A lot many people need to learn that. A sharp tongue may bite people but push away several.
