Divvi DIvvi Divvi Tam

Was reminded of a few words Grandpa used to say when he was alive.

"Divi Divi Divi tam Nuvvantene nakishtam"

I need not explain the first three words ;) But just for the non-telguite readers…the words subsequent to Divi mean “You are the one who I like the most”.

Needless to say…I blushed every time he said that :P

When I lost hope and gave up things with much diffidence… he taught me how being positive helps. Not that I learnt to be positive. I still think being positive means having hopes and expectations, which ultimately lead you to being a discontented soul.

"Success once will never let you look back hence". He used to say.

I couldn’t agree more. Back in school I was rather a dumb n depressed student who always allowed people to make fun of her. But through out my intermediate I was quite industrious. Studied really hard and always topped in Chemistry. Mathematics wasn’t bad either. I was amazed at my own capabilities. And when I got to hear some really pleasing applauds from the teachers, I decided to keep it going.

Of course engineering almost killed my instinct. Or maybe priorities changed. Today I don’t have the will to do anything. Just eat, sleep, chat and take immense pleasure in doing so. No worries about future.

My brother called me a waste today :P Good for nothing… I just agreed :D :D. He asked me to post my resume into freshersworld.com and I said- I don’t know how to do that…you can find my resume in the UNUSED DESKTOP folder in the system….please do it for me.

I am a waste. ;)

The post was supposed to be about my Grandfather :O

Never would I hurt him, not even in my wildest dreams

But one day I fell in love and broke his strong beliefs

Even so… I was protected with utmost care

From every other member who demeaned my moral fiber

He asked me to concentrate on my career and that it was no way to heed…that bringing the best of men for me was solely his responsibility.

But I already was in love and could not pull back. Falling in love was easy… breaking up is not.

I do regret for hiding so many things from him. Sometimes i even wish he doesn't get to see all this. But I see no other way.

Someday I thought he would understand….but before that he was gone.

P.S - People who thought i am literally jobless... i am not :P i do have an offer from SATYAM...just the joining date seems to be in March 2009 :P

P.P.S - Somebody try and give me a download link for a good voice recorder...through which i can save and upload some files. Whoever does that.... will get to hear a song from me :P :P . I know now nobody would risk :D

Nice words from your grandfather Divvu. They are true, no doubt.I never got to see my grandfather. He died before I was born. So I try to deduce from other ppl how grandparents are like :)

The post ended on a cheerful note. Joining date, March 2009. Wow.. that's a little far off... but till then make the most of this time :) Have fun Divvu...

This was a nice read!

for recording your voice

Go to "start", "all programs", "accessories", and then "sound recorder". From there you can voice record yourself and then save it.

upload the file in "www.zshare.net/"

and publish the link so that we could hear you sing ;-)

Oh!! Grandapops!! They are a class apart from all the other old men of that age!! Aren't they?? My one's 92 and says, "I'm growing younger everyday!! :)" (in English, he has an incredible vocab for his age!!)

Man!! TOPPER in Math and Chem?? This stuff makes want to run and hide!! Damn, I'm good at understanding Chem., in fact a lot more than the scope of my syllabus. But the damn thing is all my hereditary amnesia kicks in during exams!! :P

Ah!! And so, broken is your love,
You think so much its a crime
that it even makes you rhyme!!
Worry not, for once again you will learn how to fly, White Dove!! :):)

Quite a superb post, Princess!

I had my grandfather for some time..... But not enough time really..... He passed away when I was still a pre-teen.
The only regret I ever have, is not being with him when I had the chance. . . .
You see, I used to go to Thane (mumbai) in my holidays, once a year. (My grandfather from my father's side never got to see me. He flew up in a rage once, they say, and never came back down.)
So my mom's dad was my only grandpoppy.
And he was still working in the bank those days. Used to leave house before i woke up and then would come back at 5 or so. (Mind you, i woke up at 11 those days!!)
But 5 in the evening was the time to play! How could I ever skip that and sit restlessly at home with granddad, when i could hear all my friends (and enemies!) Having a gr8 time out there on the ground?

Well, that was my logic, which always kept me out of the house till 8.30 in the eve (it was vacation time!)
And now, when he is not here, I'm coming to assess what i've really lost.

Sorry, but this post opened a floodgate somewhere inside me........

Coming to ur software need,
Here is a software called Audacity.
Its a very powerful sound editor and mixer.
And sound recorder too.
Absolutely free.
I've been using this baby for a long long time... To convert all the old songs from cassettes to cds....
I'd love to hear a song in the voice of The Princess DeeDee
:)
:)
DeeDee productions, i'd call it.
:)
:)
So do it fast!

memories strong, they ebb and flow,
inspire u, to where you want to go,
a special person, close to your heart,
will lead you always from the start.

hey chechu. very emotional post.
you are seemingly losing hope again, isn't it time you used the lesson your grandpa taught you? how being positive helps?

i maynot know u as well as ur bro, but i KNOW you are not a waste. just frustrated at sitting simply at home. like the words u dedicated to ur grandpa sweetie, and my grandpa(dad's dad) died even before i was born, so i haven't had his love at all.
as for falling in love, happened to me too remember?? ;)

on the ending note:
vous êtes celui qui me plaît le plus trop

vinay.
PS: if u r irritated by the french,
find some translator in the web. after reading it, you'll smile, guaranteed!! :) :)

What done and said cannot be taken back. well, I guess, whatever happened happened for good. Life has to roll and it will. After all we can't keep everyone happy. it's our life, we sometimes do what we like which might hurt others, though that won't be the intention. So, chill out!

voice recorder?
Try this one
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
I haven't tried it by the way. Using jetaudio also you can record.
